ACTS Community Worship Centre 2020 Retreat: Reflect, Reset, Renew
“Come, let us take a break and find a secluded place where you can rest awhile.”
ACTS enjoyed a lovely retreat on September 25 to 27 at Cobble Stone Cottages in Ipperwash Beach, Lambton Shores, London. It was a time to reflect, reset and renew. We are so grateful to our amazing host Dale! Here is a recap of what the 3 days looked like:
Day 1: Reflect
The Retreat started with a day of reflection. It was a time to be by the waters and think of the goodness of God. A time to reflect and give God thanks for his many favors and blessings. Everyone that was present had their heart posture in a setting of gratitude. The water became the altar where the presence of God showed up, and the Holy Spirit guided everyone through their reflection.
The Lake as an Altar
You could reflect on the pleasant and unpleasant experiences, as the wind propelled the water into breaking waves that rushed to shore and touch the feet of every partaker it became a representation of God’s reckless, relentless love to free us from all shackles of the past and force us into reflecting on his manifested promise and the ones to come.
Day 2: Reset
As Day 2 emerged with the sunrise, it was a day of reset. It started off at the water where decrees and declarations were made to allow the move of God in everyone’s life. As twilight became visible and dusk start to consume the skies, everyone encamp around the bonfire in preparation of the night’s activity. Everyone was instructed to make a list of generational curses that was linked to their lineage and place it in the fire as they loose it from their soul and bloodline. As the prophetic act took place and combustion occurred with the evidence of smoke and ashes it became a sign of every participant disassociating themselves from all contracts with darkness and tapped into the generational blessing of God as they declare a RESET in the spirit.
Day 3: Renew
On the last day; you could feel the lightness in the air as everyone was renewed and rejuvenated. The day started with church service on the beach, and the spirit of worship was present and contagious as everyone danced along with the waves. They danced and declared the new that they expected as we approached sunset. As evening took over, we transcended to the start of Yom Kippur, baptism took place which is evidence of the renewal that they had encountered. Seven individuals got baptized as a sign of rededication as well as new believers. The day ended with feast and fellowship.
