Our Statement of Faith
Select a topic to read our beliefs and Scripture references.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our final authority for faith, teaching, and Christian living.
2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21.
One God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
We believe in one eternal God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to the Father. He alone is our Saviour and Lord.
John 1:1–14; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 4:12.
Salvation
We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. Through repentance and faith, we receive forgiveness, new life, and reconciliation with God. Good works are the fruit of salvation.
Ephesians 2:8–10; Acts 3:19; Romans 10:9–10.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in believers, forms Christlike character, and empowers them for witness and service. We believe in the baptism and filling of the Holy Spirit and the continuing operation of spiritual gifts, exercised in love and biblical order.
Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1–4; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; 14:26–33; Galatians 5:22–23.
Baptism and Communion
We practise water baptism by immersion following a personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ. We observe Communion in remembrance of His sacrifice and in anticipation of His return.
Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3–4; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26.
Holy Living
We believe every Christian is called to grow in holiness through the Word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit. We pursue lives marked by love, integrity, humility, repentance, and obedience.
1 Peter 1:15–16; Romans 12:1–2.
The Church and Its Mission
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, care for people, and equip believers for ministry. We affirm Christ’s provision of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers for the equipping and maturity of His Church.
Matthew 28:19–20; Ephesians 4:11–16; 1 Corinthians 12:27.
Healing, Deliverance, and Prayer
We believe God hears prayer, heals, and brings freedom through Jesus Christ. We pray for the sick and minister to those experiencing spiritual oppression with compassion, biblical discernment, and dependence on the Holy Spirit. We honour each person’s dignity and support appropriate medical and professional care.
Luke 4:18–19; Acts 10:38; James 5:14–16.
The Return of Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, final judgment, and eternal life with God for those who belong to Christ. We seek to live watchfully, faithfully, and urgently in the work of the gospel.
Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; John 5:28–29; Matthew 24:42.
